TH Masterplan

The project is located in Lombok, Indonesia. The masterplan is one of a variety of spa treatment and bath programs that is set in a valley, looking towards the boundless Pacific ocean. Arranged as a series of buildings that express elements of looseness, foundness and lightness. Each of the buildings host a their own individual programs, including elevated treatment rooms that has a view above the tree canopies towards the sea. Private suites are available for a more intimate and holistic experience. Within the masterplan also exist a bath building that takes on a more cavernous materiality, reminiscent of the mineral and volcanic conditions of the Indonesian archipelago, drawing on local Lombok elements in both choice of materials and tectonics.

Visitors weave in and out through the tropical landscape through winding paths that lead them to different programs and destinations. Time slows, and the mind drifts away from the constraints of the physical world, absorbing the natural wonders of the rainforest, from begonias, to orchids, to ferns, to palm trees. In the glistening speckles of rays of light that penetrate through the trees, those that visit begin to remove themselves from the stress of the material world.
