Aside Water

Aside Water is a project located in Chattahooche Hills near Atlanta, Georgia and is part of a larger masterplan that involves the activation of a sloped forested terrain. The project is sited next to the pond within the plot, and consists of a series of spa programs, lounge spaces and a pool. The building takes inspiration from the longhouses of various cultures around the world, emphasising on the ritualistic process of this connection with water-based elements in the proposal. Guests enter the building move through it sequentially, through the entrance hall, changing rooms, entrance to the outdoor pool and bath spaces at the back.

The length of the building faces out towards the pool and the pond, looking out over the water into the treeline just across the glimmering water surface, into the beauty of the Georgian landscape.
